Linda Harasim on Online Collaborative Learning
Check out this Slide Share Presentation: This slide has provided vital pointers to collaborative learning. The most important take away is that online learning is not necessarily the cheapest option to acquiring an education. It could be very expensive irrespective of where you are. In the US though, it is relatively cheap though not for classes modeled around traditional brick and mortar classes. The other issue is that despite the expense, the graduation rate is usually high, something that is very encouraging. However, due to the advent of the information age, and the lightning speed with which it spreads, global online collaborative learning is yet to pick up like a bush fire on a very dry summer.
